Every year, in February, our high school celebrates the cultural week(although it isn't a week, but two days) when pupils do some activities to celebrate the Andalucia day(February, 28th)
Some days before, students had to make posters that had information about the Andalucia's villages where we said how they are, which are their customes, his traditional dances and dishes, etc.
Others students had to put them in the halls to decorate the school. In addition, teachers organized a lot of activities. My teacher, Mercedes, wanted some friends and we will represent a theater called " El retablillo de Don Cristobal". All week we were rehearsing while others prepared a concert of flamenco.
On Thursday, February 25th, the cultural week began. First ping pong started, football and volleyball tournaments, in addition to dance classes. Some teachers gave lectures of biology and physics, and the library sold book at a great prize in a book fair. Throughout the days also there were games like pictionary, cards on a treasure hunt and we represent the theater. The week ended on Friday and all winners received their prizes(a sweatshirt or a shirt)
Although everybody had a great time, the cultural week had some flaws. Fourth grade students lost a lot of time making the posters(the others groups should have helped more).
Another bad thing are the prizes: they shouldn't give just t-shirt, because there are people who have won several awards and they carry them. They should give us books as prize, too. And lastly, I think that two hours of class that are before activities, they should remove them because we do nothing.
The cultural week was a good celebration. It makes pupils relax and forget about their studies for two days.
