Our nearest important city:Lecce

Lecce is an important city, about 50 km from us. We are in Puglia, south Italy. Lecce is very famous, thanks to the Baroque style, that decorates the churches, the buildings and the monuments of the town. Lecce is also called the “Florence of the south” for the art.
The most important places of Lecce are: Duomo’s square, and sant’Oronzo square; the roman and greek amphitheatre, church “Santa Croce” etc. In Lecce there is also a museum, that preserves some statues, reliefs, inscriptions, vases and ceramics. In Lecce there are other tourist attractions, like castles and gardens. The patron saint of Lecce is “sant’Oronzo” and it is
celebrated on the 27th of August. Lecce is a wonderful city. Come and visit it!
